My life remains anything but boring. God is calling me to a new step of faith again. Here’s a quick summary of what’s happening…
For the past year I have been serving full-time with reviveOHIO and helping to equip everyday folks to share the Gospel and make disciples all over Ohio. It has been a tremendous blessing. We have seen pastors and churches revived. We have seen hundreds of people give there lives to Christ for the first time, get baptized and engaged in discipleship relationships.
Prior to joining Revive I worked for nearly 13 years in local United Methodist churches. As a UMC pastor my passion is really to see a re-awakening to our Wesleyan roots. The Wesleyan revival that birthed the Methodist Church was marked by sweeping evangelism, intentional discipleship and understanding the power of the Holy Spirit. With nearly 80 million people in churches from the Wesleyan stream today there is world-shaping potential if even a portion recaptured our early missional DNA.
So currently I am the the process of launching a brand new ministry called Spirit and Truth. Spirit and Truth is a movement of Wesleyan-minded Christians seeking to awaken and equip the 21st century church, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to share the Gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Basically, the Lord has opened some incredible doors and I believe is calling me to take all that I have seen and learned in the last year and bring it back into the Methodist/Wesleyan fold.
There are so many exciting things in the works…and more details about how I got here…but I am going to leave it there for now. The Lord is up to something exciting and I am humbled to be along for the ride.
If you want to read a few more details about how I have sensed God leading me to this new ministry, here is a letter I shared recently with my ministry supporters to help explain the transition: TTR Transition Letter for Support Team
Also, here is an article I wrote for our new website about how things got started with Spirit and Truth: https://www.spiritandtruth.life/blog/the-beginning
And finally, here is a (way too long) video that shares a little bit of my heart:
